How old are you?
34.

Where do you live?
Moreno Valley, CA.

How many SE bikes do you own?
I currently own ten SE bikes: Beast Mode Ripper, Fat Quad, Retro PK Ripper, signed STR-1 Quadangle, DJ Ripper, Floval Flyer, PK SuperElite (x2-red & blue), Vans PK Ripper, and Vans Big Ripper.

What’s your favorite SE bike?
I have different favorites in the arsenal for different applications. My favorite bike for BMX racing and pump tracks is the 20” PK Ripper Super Elite because it hauls a**. My favorite jump and park bike is the Kris Fox signature Gaudium because it takes a lick’n and keeps on tick’n. The biggest jumps I’ve ever done have been on that bike. My favorite big bike is the 29” Vans Big Ripper because it’s a rare exotic beauty that makes wheelies feel effortless. But… maybe my favorite bike of all is my signed Stu Thomsen replica Quadangle.

What’s your favorite place to ride?
My backyard! Well, it’s one of my favorites. I can grill up some wings, crack open some Wolf Poison, and flow around the biggest little track in the world. But I’m easy to please and can have fun riding anything. Small jumps, big jumps, no jumps—I just enjoy riding my bike. Tracks, trails, pump tracks, skateparks, parking lots… I have a favorite spot for whatever type of riding I want to do.

What’s your favorite thing about riding in general? And what's your favorite thing about racing?
My favorite thing about riding is the memories and friendships it’s created over the years. When I’m riding it brings so much fun and joy that I forget about all the worries, bills, stress, or troubles that could be going on in my life. My favorite thing about racing is the competitiveness. It keeps me motivated to push forward and to better myself. It keeps me in shape, too.

What’s your secret to improving riding skills?
Ride a lot and stay consistent. Enjoy doing it and have fun. Challenge yourself to try new things. It’s always helpful to ride a variety of different things and different places.

What’s something that people may not know about you?
I’m married to the fastest BMX mom in the world and we have two boys together, Camden (six years old) and Hendrix (one year old). I also have a full time job working for the Water District.

What advice would you give to someone just getting into riding? And any special advice for getting into racing?
For me, to really enjoy riding, you need the proper bike. If I see someone new riding a Walmart bike, I’m gonna suggest a better bike. Especially if they want to take the next step up from a casual cruise around the block. I would also say that if you enjoy riding and stick with it long enough, bicycles can take you places. The advice I would give to someone just getting into racing would be to have fun. There can be pressure from other riders or dads telling you to upgrade your bike or parts. Don’t worry about everyone else and how fast they might be going. You do you and have fun. Eventually, if you really enjoy racing and you want to go fast, then you can upgrade your bike or parts and start putting in the work.
